Some cards are legal in classic pauper and not legal in standard pauper even though they are printed in standard legal sets. For example Oblivion Ring is printed as a common in Lorwyn and as an uncommon in M12. Therefore it is not legal in this event because I wrote in the rules:
Is this something that is understood? This also applies to Goblin Grenade at least.
Also is this ruling ok to everyone? This ruling will be legal for round1, but for round 2 we can modify the rules if necessary. What do people prefer: Does the card have to be printed as a common in standard legal set, or is it enough if it is printed as a common before and uncommon/rare/mythic now? This discussion is for round 2. This round 1 we will use the rules as I posted them at the beginning.

I say just use the same rules they use in the events they hold in PDCMagic, which I believe agrees with the initial rulings you put.

yes the card has to be a COMMON in standard to be legal for standard pauper using O-ring is not allowed.
cards that were uncommon in earlier sets but are now common in Standard are allowed - this does not work the other way round

It is decided. Like it was in the rules in the first place. All cards that are printed as a common in standard legal sets are legal. Oblivion Ring and other uncommons that have been previously commons are not legal.
