Like the title says: What games are u playing atm? I have a family, job, own company, thesis 50% done and almost zero freetime. But when I play I play these games:
On my Mac I play: - MtG:O - Football Manager 2012 - Europa Universalis III - Civilization 4 Complete + Colonization - Open TTD
With my iPhone: - Angry Birds - Final Fantasy I & II - Catan - Ticket to Ride

I have kids, so that eliminates almost all freetime... the rest goes to MTGO and occasionally Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. On the iPod Touch, I tend to get lots of games and then have a "beat it, delete it" strategy. The only things that stay on there are Plants Vs. Zombies, Cut the Rope (all of them) and Pocket Frogs (mindless collecting). I'm just waiting for Catan and Ticket to Ride to drop in price so I can grab them. Neither of them are on sale right now.

Well, it's GrumpyOld Gamer for a reason, right? I don't really play on PC anymore. I used to, but now I just don't have the time to go through the whole installing, patching and testing process. Plus, I'm getting lazy in my old age. Simply downloading a game, or putting in a DVD/Blu-Ray in a console is fine with me. Let's see... Currently playing: - Gears of War 3 (2nd playthrough, solo; 1st time was in co-op) - Plants vs Zombies (Co-op with wife only) - Rayman Origins (Co-op with wife only) - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Back catalogue: - Alice Madness Returns - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - Assassin's Creed Revelations - Deus Ex: Human Revolution - God of War Collection - God of War 3 Upcoming and pre-ordered: - Mass Effect 3 I'm lucky enough that my wife is a bit of a gamer, but we don't play very often together. It might take a while before we are done with Rayman. As for Skyrim, I gave myself the challenge to start a playthrough and never fast travel (except if using carriages). That one's gonna take a while.

Oh Jam! (to quote Chewie). Forgot about Deus Ex. Please let us know how you feel about that one. Loved the old ones, and I've heard some good things from that one from the Bombcast guys, but I'd be curious to hear another opinion.

Oh Jam! (to quote Chewie). Forgot about Deus Ex. Please let us know how you feel about that one. Loved the old ones, and I've heard some good things from that one from the Bombcast guys, but I'd be curious to hear another opinion. Okay, I've put about 6 hours into Deus Ex, so I feel I can make some initial impressions about it. First of all, this isn't the Deus Ex from yesteryear, but I'm sure everyone has that understanding already. The game, while first person, is a stealth game, first and foremost. If you plan to go in without a stealth mentality, caution is still the name of the game. Even with damage prevention upgrades, enemies can chew you up in no time flat. I've died more in this game than in the entire Modern Warfare series (excluding online, where I suck). The story is a little absent, but still fairly intriguing. The in-game stuff I find is often more intriguing than the overarching story at play. There are some good moments that have to be sought out. For example, look in the bathroom the first time you go back to your apartment. It reveals a lot of inner workings of your character without telling anything outright. The music is absolutely incredible. It's got the Tron, futuristic vibe going to it, and totally helps with the atmosphere. It's one of my favorite parts of the game. The coloring is also stellar, and really helps with the fact that the graphics themselves, while not terrible, are very middle of the road. Music example: www.cleanvideosearch.com/media/action/yt/watch?videoId=ZiN6t7K7txwThe gameplay is fine. Boss battles are frustrating, but they are very, very infrequent. And you can easily find ways to work the system when they come up. Overall, this is a great game, and I think it's something that everyone should play. It scratches my Metal Gear Solid itch, without having to suffer through too much dialogue.

Well, it was made by the studio in Montreal, so I kinda have a soft spot for it already. But thanks for the quick review Chris, I'll have to give this a shot.

Small update Plants vs. Zombies GOTY was in sale on Steam last weekend and I bought it. Awesome game if you have 15mins to kill. Like the title says: What games are u playing atm? Working on Alice Madness Returns right now. The platforming is occasionally awkward and the camera has definite issues, but the tone and art design are so good that I want to see more. Beside, I need something to keep me occupied. Everytime a new trailer for Mass Effect comes out, I'm like: Oooooooohhhh! Aaaaaaaaahhhh!! Grrrrrrrrr!!! Nghhhhhhhh!!!! Bioware is killing me here. ;D

I believe the demo for Mass Effect 3 just came out. masseffect.bioware.com/about/demoI hear its a pretty good game. In my very objective and unbiased opinion, I would recommend it. Having said that, I'm still playing the second one I'm also still playing Uncharted 2 and Zelda: Skyward sword when I can. Perhaps I should spend less time posting and more time playing

I believe the demo for Mass Effect 3 just came out. Yeah... but I usually have so little gaming time that when I can actually sit down to play, I like to play a game and not just a demo. And it's not like I need to be sold on ME3. I'm already pretty overhyped. ;D

Oh, and Journey is apparently coming out March 13! Almost missed that bit of news. I'm really curious to see that game. Flower was already pretty sweet.
