For those of you who got the reference, Kudos! For those of you who didn't, go and educate yourselfs :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAkZT_4vL_YAnyhew, this is of one of my pet decks, one that i've played in many formats, from Standard to Modern, and one that I want to be good in Pauper: Urzatron. The concept should be familiar to most of you: Assemble all three Urza Lands - Cast a giant thread way ealyer than you are supposed to - profit. The pauper version of the deck has all it needs for that. You have stuff to search out your lands, giant beater(s) and the lands themselves. There is a video of me introducing the deck and playing two playtest matches with it, right here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0nS9V1t0vg&feature=c4-overview&list=UUnPrdoVR4NENbiIzJOkiI1wLet me know what you think and give it a thumbs up if you like it. I would be more than happy to discuss ideas. Cheers, Dom

You won't believe what Mr. Stiches saw....
it's been years since I listened to Tom Waits. Uncompromising, unyielding, anti-establishment and I still love him. Thanks you for reintroducing him to me.
Now I'll go watch your vids.

It is sweet to see the Urzatron get some love instead of those pesky locuses that keep ruining my day in Pauper

Gotta love tron decks! Seem's like i'm learning more and more about pauper brewing every day. Thanks for posting the deck Dom.
I've actually got a Black/Green Tron brew that i've been testing if you care to take a look. Its a few threads below this one entitled Big Green Brewing.

I posted my ideas in your thread.
Just to make stuff easier, (as my videos are really blurry and it is very hard to read the cards) here is a text version of my latest list:
4 Fangren Marauder 4 Ulamog's Crusher
4 Chromatic Star 3 Chromatic Sphere 4 Expedition Map 2 Pyrite Spellbomb 4 Gruul Signet
4 Ancient Stirrings 3 Crop Rotation
4 Firebolt 2 Rolling Thunder
4 Urza's Tower 4 Urza's Mine 4 Urza's Power Plant 3 Shimmering Grotto 3 Great Furnace 2 Tree of Tales 2 Haunted Fengraf
Sideboard: 4 Pyroblast 4 Earth Rift 2 Molder 1 Multani's Decree 1 Bojuka Bog 3 Ancient Grudge
Btw.: Thank you guys for watching my videos. 100 hits in only 36 hours, that's crazy. I'm so stoked right now.

I hate where pauper is right now (even though I'm sure it's an easy nut to crack). Fissure may not be in the top three decks, but Cloudpost has still so distorted the format that all I've seen for about four days in the Tournament Practice room are land destruction builds (basically ever since Deluxeicoff won in the money with one, I've seen them pop up more and more). There's a UB Post-LD build, B/R builds (I think one had FOUR Fissures, which is a terrible card, and four Wrecking Ball, which is okay, albeit expensive). When so many people are playing such bad cards in order to destroy lands, I think that is better evidence of format distortion than being 30% of 4-0s and 3-1s.
All this is to say that people are out to get lands, and Tron seems much more susceptible to this strategy than Post. Still, Perhaps this is only a reflection of the brewers in the TP room than what you would actually encounter when 6 tix are paid.

I agree that the strenght of this deck directly correlates to the popularity of Post decks in the format. However, what I do not agree with is that tron is more suceptible to LD than Post.
Tron can have a more consistent early threat than most Post lists, because they plan on either just winning with Drifter or a one of Crusher (maybe a Rolling Thunder mixed in). We run four copies of Crusher here, which means our threat density is much bigger. Plus, there are not many things in LD that can save them post Crusher (they can double block it with two Blastoderms, that's about it). Another thing most Post lists don't have is Crop Rotation, which is excellent against LD, as it allows you to sacrifice the targetted land in response, providing you with a fresh copy. I have as well encountered many LD Decks recently, and I am seriously considering just jamming in the fourth copy of Crop Rotation.
Lasty, the effect of an LD spell is generally much weaker against Tron. Post has far less lands they need to kill to shut your mana off (10-12 LD cards against 4 Cloudposts / 12 Tron Pieces). Sure, they can just focus on one of your Tron lands, but they unlikely will do so, because it's too risky. So that means that in the lategame, it is much more likely for you to assemble Tron than an adequate amount of mana via Posts (you would have to stick either 3+ Glimmerposts and a Cloudpost, or 2 Cloudposts, which is very unlikely). Thus, Tron can recover much quicker from LD.

I think basics are way better than the artifact lands. I understand that you can gain life off of them with a Fangren in play and a Crop Rotation, and that is cute, but you are allowing your opponents to attack your manabase easier (something they already want to do). The marginal upside is not worth making Ancient Grudge a two mana Earth Rift against you.

Good Point. I will probably sub most of them for additional Fengrafs / Grottos or some basics.

With Cloudpost gone, I might just take the deck for another spin. Stay tuned.
