Tier 1 Pauper Decks is a new board solely for decks that have proven to be very competitive over the past few months in MtG:O. This board will evolve to have good information about current competitive metagame and should be a good resource for anyone who is interested in competitive play. Once we have agreement on what the current tier 1 is and who have a say on that, I will create another sticky with a list of current tier 1 decks and update that monthly.
In order to keep it simple and clean you cannot start new threads to this board without permission to do so. As I write this, it is yet undiscussed how we setup the criteria and who will decide which decks belong here.
Primer is something that you might notice in the thread heading/subject. That indicates that the opening post of the thread has in-deph analysis about the deck, called primer. Primer helps people unfamiliar with the deck to undestand the idea of the deck and see different options with the builds and sideboarding questions etc. I encourage all forum members to write primers about decks as I feel it gives a huge contribution to the forums! In order to help you in that I am currently creating a guide on how to write a primer.
Post all discussion and feedback about this information to this same thread.

I'd like to start writing a primer on the Red/Blue Storm deck and the IzzetPost deck. I already started a thread for the IzzetPost deck but that one could be converted to the Primer format and moved into here. As the formal process for writing these primers hasn't been decided yet, I'll just create another thread for the red/blue storm deck where I created the IzzetPost thread and it can be moved here when the time is right.
Actually, I think that, since the population is relatively small for these forums, for now we should just allow people to create threads for primers they want to write about and just sculpt the initial post through comments and feedback. If the administrators feel the thread isn't really a Tier 1 deck, they can move it to the General Pauper Decks discussion on a case by case basis. Once the population starts to grow then we might need some stricter measures.

@gabo
Everybody is free to start their primers at all times! And all tier1 decks will be moved here, for sure!
@everyone
How are we gonna decide what are the tier1 decks?

The toughest part is getting started with the top decks. As they move out of favor we can start removing them, but we're just going to have to go with gut instinct and player feedback.
What I see as the top decks right now:
Delver Blue U/R Post Infect Mono B Rats Affinity White Weenie Storm Goblin Storm Burn
Tier 1.5 seems like....
Green Stompy/Post G/W Aura Faeries?
This is just off the top of my head, so let me know what the consensus is.

I'm not sure about the Delver Blue deck. It's good, but novelty may have a lot to do with that. I'd wait a few more weeks and see how it performs before calling it a tier 1 deck. I wouldn't put Burn as a tier 1 deck either since it's really meta-dependant. It's always a solid contender, but it's performances will wax and wane depending on what else is being played - a bit like RDW in other formats.
The rest of the list seems fine though. I would suggest: Affinity, Goblins, Infect, Mono Black Control, Mono Blue Control, U/R Post, White Weenie and Storm.

In my opinion we should include to this list only decks that go regularly 4-0/3-1 in dailies at the time frame of how often we update the list.

I think that's a reasonable way of doing it. If that's the way we go, we should make a point of letting readers know that's how we're making the top tier determinations.
I would think bi-monthly would be a fair amount of time between updates.

That info looks very good and legit! I might even contact that person and ask permission to use his stats or maybe even him to join here.

You may have seen the name Dabil around a bit. He's one of the co-leaders with ParoXitiC, myself and Hoju_ca of Pauper Krew, and he also regularly runs TPDC events. He also makes many, if not all, of the award graphics for the PDC. In addition to all of those skills, he's an amazing number cruncher and analyzer. He has actually debated the guy who does the above site on his methods of breaking down the different deck types, trying to clean up the data even more. You can see some of their back and forth in the comments on some of the earlier posts. Anyway, my point is that if you have trouble talking to that guy, then you can talk to Dabil. He does a lot of the same stuff, but doesn't publish it... and if you have trouble getting in touch with Dabil (PDC forums, Pauper Krew forums, MTGO) then let me know and I'll send him an email. He's one of the best guys you'll meet in pauper.
