Welcome aboard, Chris! Standard Pauper is a blast to play, and you're getting in at a good time. Gatecrash should shake up the metagame.

Hey, everybody.
I've been listening to the podcast for a while, and I finally decided to jump onto the boards and get involved a little bit. I've been playing Pauper ever since I got on MTGO about a year ago. My favorite deck is Infect (RIP Invigorate), though I've been known to dabble in others, especially Stompy. Mostly I just want to tap Forests. I only started playing daily events in the past few months, but I've had quite a bit of success in them, and you may have seen me playing with the username jaspax.
Anyway, I'm going to post a deck tech soon about a Simic Infect brew that I've had some success with in the dailies.

Welcome Jaspax, Welcome Spartan to the pttp forums! Pauper is, in my not so humble opinion, is the best damn format on mtgo, with standard pauper being my favorite.

Hey all y'alls,
Croque_Mort here; I'd like to say salutations to everyone here. As a newcomer to a forum, I'm always nervous, but I ve been playing pauper since 2010, so I feel more comfortable at the moment than usually. Anyway, I typically just brew as the creation is more of the joy and passion. Although, I do regulary play tier-ones. I normally play in tournament practice, though now I feel bad for my opponents having to play against a homebrez when they are probably looking for more "standardized" decks. But, I like the serious play associated and a metagame gives me a structure for my designs. Also, excuse any spelling mistakes, as I am an american teacher in france, and the french just have to have a different keyboard (I jest loving-ly.)
My user name on MTGO is
Croque_Mort
Anyway, I m gonna go post a decklist, and see what the community is like
Merci et à bientot,
Croque_Mort
ps (username means "undertaker,"...don judge me, we all do stupid things when we were young that we regret, but must live with as a reminder that choices have consquences )

Good evening all! I am The.Angry.Man ("TheAngryMan" on MTGO). I came into MtG at Revised and left at Homelands. Just recently got back into the game (both paper and MTGO), and after doing a little additional research and playing, have come to really enjoy the Standard Pauper format. However, I am suffering from severe "n00bitus," and would appreciate any help in getting my bearings, such as strategy guides, decks, etc...in return, I will be more than happy to be a highly-motivated (albeit clumsy) "sparring partner" for anyone who would like to test their latest deck on MTGO. Once again, great to meet everyone and I look forward to learning more about Standard Pauper.

This is a really fantastic resource for some common Standard Pauper decks: pdcmagic.com/gatherling/eventreport.php?event=SPDC+19.19You can click on each deck listing and get details about which cards were in it, and how it fared against other matchups. Looking forward to seeing you around online.
