Kennon has posted a thread that got me thinking and also gives me a question to anyone who might know the answer.
Does anyone know how to make a big group chat on skype? We could call it PTTP and it makes it easier for league challenges, casual playing, testing, or for just hanging out with everyone here.
Also if you would like to participate in causal pauper nights, just list your mtgo name and what time you would be available here.
Thank you.

Hmmm... I know that sort of thing is possible, because an AGOT player I know started a Skype group for people to play Thrones through OCTGN and organize discussion. I'll see if I can find out how to do so.
Also, I'd like to participate in casual nights. Usually can scare up some time late Wed. and Thurs. after podcasting/editing, and am generally free Friday and Tuesday nights.
Kennon on MTGO.

Does anyone use it any more? I drop by whenever I'm on MTGO, but I must have terrible luck being on at the same time as others, because it's normally empty.

I don't think we have enough people that are aware of it yet to make it effective. We just need to make sure we are on it when we are online (I'm guilty of forgetting) and keep spreading the word.

Im always there when I am online, sometimes I leave if I am drafting and can't handle chat at the same time... But what RockBass said, spread the word and make sure to be there when you are online.

Well, i know a permanent group can definitively be created on skype, i'm just not sure if it's possible without adding the person's real contact (if that's an actual problem to someone).
I'm all up for a skype group for Pauper to the People!
(I hadn't read this before)

Sweet, I got a shout-out on the podcast by not being here. Regarding the meetups: I've been really busy lately and haven't had that much time to spend on MTGO, and have basically abandoned the forum. I do find some time to get online, but it's pretty sparse and I can't commit to any given time or day. That said, if one or more times during the week were established for meeting up, it'd be easier for me to try to sneak some MTGO into my schedule at that specific time. If the clan leaders could identify a couple times a week to try, based on more feedback, announcing it on the podcast would probably be an effective way to get people to show up. Moving/cross-posting/linking this thread to General Discussion might also help ... as is, it's at the bottom of the forum listing, and I wasn't expecting to find it here. I suppose I think of meetups as different from league events. Regarding the pauperpeople chat on MTGO -- I usually join it whenever I'm online and not focused on drafting, and like Kennon I've never had much luck seeing anyone else there. It's kind of a negative reinforcement; because I never see anyone there, it's harder for me to remember to join again next time. Until the clan gets built up more and there's some momentum, it'll probably be difficult. But we must forge ahead! (at least, those of us with time to spare... *sheepishly bows out*)

I'd also support something like a regular date for casual play. I suggest Thursdays (no time stated, since we're spread all over the world, I guess).

We will announce the next tournament or league in this weeks episode and I'll keep this in mind. It would be great to recommend one day to have casual meetups but let's still keep all options open and the league matches will not be at a fixed dates.

I'd love to participate but I have a real hard time making it to anything with a fixed schedule.

I'd love to participate but I have a real hard time making it to anything with a fixed schedule. It wouldn't be that bad I would think:D ... Just a random day in the week, like let's say we make it thursday... Throughout the entire day, just sign into the chat on mtgo at any point and challenge some people to some friendly testing games. Or shoot the shit, whatever you guys would like to do. Once everyone agrees on a day, Ill make a new thread and announce the day people would like to pick.

As far as I am concerned, that "fixed date" we're talking about is meant for casual play and not for the tournament. I suppose the players-will-figure-the-matches-out-themselves-within-one-week - system will still apply for the second tournament. Edit: This Thursday's Father's Day. So perfect for a whole day of Magic xD I hope my friends will have some time to turn some cardboard
