I played one game with 4 players. One guy got manascrewed and dropped around t6-t8. I was battling against Sharuum and something 5 color general. Game was interesting, but they managed to wrath my board twice and I falled behind. Sharuum guy finished the game with Thopter Foundry/Sword of the Meek? combo.

Yeah, Sharuum usually runs a fair amount of sweepers and permanent removal spells/effects. I know I do in my list. Were you playing online? If so, how did it go? From hearing people talk, it's not all that great thanks to douchy players.

Sometimes playing online isn't fun at all and I just drop after few turns. But this group of four was really amazing. For example the guy who had landscrew kept inviting me to hit him with SoBM equipped Kaalia to mill him in order to get him a way back into match. Also all players were protecting others with Ith/Mystifying Maze. So cool! Oh and the Sharuum player didn't go over the edge with the winning combo in the end. Just enough to win which is nice, some people in modo don't do that.

I have to admit that I imagine multiplayer games to be rather less enjoyable online than in real life...

I built me some Ramirez deck. Needs tuning of course, since it is mostly standard legal. Seriously if someone ever builds pauper commander we could play!

Interesting. I must say that I much prefer the idea of Peasant than Pauper Commander, especially Peasant with rare commanders. I don't really like either options really, since the Commander format can be budget friendly, but at the very least Peasant allows some interesting variations.

Yugular, I'll work on a Pauper Commander deck this weekend.
I'll play, but only with people I know, like forum members. Commander on MTGO brings out the trolls.

Uhhhh, only one of each card?
You tell me. Would you like it to be Pauper, no power, or what. I'm open for anything.

To chime in, I personally wouldn't recommend going pure pauper when it comes to Commander. Common legendary creatures are pretty terrible, with one (Ramirez DePietro) clearly being superior to all the other. If you add Uncommon legendary creatures, you have a few more options, but if you don't want something out of ME, Homelands or Kamigawa, you're pretty much screwed. Yes, you still have plenty of deckbuilding options available, but what makes Commander the format it is, is the commander and the interaction the deck has with it. Remove that, and you lose a lot of what the format is all about. At that point, you're probably just better playing 60-Cards Casual.
Peasant Commander at least allow you to chose the commander you want, and five Uncommon cards. I would actually suggest 8 Uncommon cards instead, to keep the appropriate ratio, since we're talking about 99 cards decks here and not 60 cards decks.
My 0.02$.

So RockBass. We agree to these rules: - Commander can be rare or uncommon? Either is fine by me. - Deck can hold 5 or 6 uncommons? Again either is fine. Just name those. And I already have my deck built, I can edit it accordingly if necessary. Lets play!

What a game I just played! Three players. I play Kaalia, opponents have Rhys and Uril. Uril beats the Rhys out in t4. I managed to hang in there with sweepers, but in the end he attacked for 40 general dmg.
