And I played another game before that game. It was also pretty nice and I managed to win it. Kaalia is so fun to play, even ehough the winning% is pretty low compared to more consistent and explosive generals.

So RockBass. We agree to these rules: - Commander can be rare or uncommon? Either is fine by me. - Deck can hold 5 or 6 uncommons? Again either is fine. Just name those. And I already have my deck built, I can edit it accordingly if necessary. Lets play! Let's say Commander can be any legendary creature you want it to be, including Mythics. 6 Uncommons allowed. I'm really excited to see how a mythic general can power a Peasant type deck. Should be fun. And, if anyone else wants to get in on this, feel free.

So I built myself a new commander deck. I have a weak spot for Zombies so I made a deck that has Thraximudar as a general. Six lords and about 20-25 other zombies. And I won the first game I tested the deck! It was 3 player game and it goes like this:
t6: Board is almost empty. Everyone is at 40. I play Army of the Damned. (too bad I didn't have anger in my GY) t7: Opponents didn't wrath, so I cycle Gempalm Polluter for 13 and play Falkenrath Noble + Attack for 26 -chump blocks. t8: Opponents show no wraths, just few chumblockers and some tappers (Puppet Strings etc.) So I play Cruel Revival on one opponent's general and dig Polluter back. Cycle it for some dmg and attack again with the Horde. t9: Opponent's didn't draw answers and concede. I was at 45.

And the Zombie beatdown continues! I also won my 3rd game (3 players). They just played lands and manarocks. I started to pump Zombies to the BF and smashed them with Thraximundar killing their all dudes one by one. They finally managed to stabilize by creating wrath effects and shuffling Thraxi to my library - At this point they both were in about 20 life and one strike away from general dmg. Well I managed to get Geth, Lord of the Vault on the BF, then used it to revive Fierce Empath (to get Thraxi) and also started to loop Eternal Witness from one opponent with the help of Noxiuos Ghoul. So much cool stuff happened in that game... Finally I managed to show lethal to one opponent and Thraximudar killed the other one.

Turns out that Deathbringer Thoctar + Death Baron + Falkenrath Noble are pretty nuts together. Especially with Shriveling Rot that's all folks!

I've built two paper Pauper highlander recently. I always knew it would be fun and not as weak as many people would assume, but I was still surprised about how fast these decks can be!

Sometimes MtG:O Commander is frustrating. We had 4 players. One is playing Permission/Time Walk .dec and all three opponents have Primeval Titan & Consc Sphinx. Those games are not interesting and those games wouldn't happen irl. (unless the playgroup actually wants to play like that)
edit. The Time Walk guy conceded first as I dealt something like 40 dmg to him and played all my removal against him although there would have been "better targets". Well that's what you get for playing such an unfun/uninteractive deck.

Commander deck can cost pretty much anything from 10USD up to few thousand USD. Depending on many variables. In mtg:o many of the commander staples are lot cheaper than in real life.

To expand on Yug's comment, EDH decks are as expensive as you want to be competative/flavorful/bling. For instance, my Mono Black Zombie deck cost me a total of two Liliana of the Veils, and a few other good cards in trade, whereas my BW Spirit Stax is slowly closing in on the 500 dollar mark (and I dont even have a Scrubland in the mix).
Pauper (or as I would prefer to play Peasent) EDH decks are considerably cheaper, and could be had for less than 100 in most cases.
