Chippy and Terese Nielsen. Top of my list for sure. I also love Todd Lockwood, but I have a hard time considering him a MtG artist. I'm still hung up on his work on DnD and other fantasy games/books. Somewhat old school: Brom. I don't think the guy has drawn a lot of MtG of late, but as a gym rat I appreciate well drawn muscular physiques and Brom is certainly good at that. Hard to leave John Avon out. The guy has been drawing for Wizards since day 1, and has done some of the most beautiful and iconic lands in the history of the game.

I love Todd Lockwood ~ has probably my favorite piece of art on a card in mtg, but if I'm going overall it would be Terese Nielsen.
btw ~ I think this would make an excellent topic on a ptp podcast - top ten best pauper art cards of all time.

Nice! Looking at an artist's full magic portfolio like that is interesting. I hadn't realized that it was the same guy who did all of those. Lots of dynamic shard edges and he does great special effects.
