wow, so I'm flipping through some spoiler cards thanks to Gathering Magic and I see Zhur-Taa Swine. That's a pretty big P/T boost for what I gather to be an uncounterable ability. Think that might make an impact?

Beat me to the punch but I think this card could be bananas in the right deck
with guildgates there has to be G/R aggro deck out there
we shall see

If there was a GR Infect deck that played a long game Seriously that card is so overcosted and the ability is expensive...

It depends on the format. I don't see it having an impact in classic but in standard pauper (my fav format) it will definitely see play, and may become a format staple.

It has potential, in my opinion.
The Bloodrush ability is an uncounterable pump spell, and +5/+4 for three mana seems fairly reasonable, especially since you can always use it as a creature in a pinch.
Classic Pauper, as always, remains to be seen. Standard Pauper (also my favorite format), it's gonna be a total house.

Of course there's a few other commons that we've seen spoiled, but some of them even my hardened Johnny sensibilities are going to have to admit will be difficult to forge into something particularly effective. Still, the fun is in the trying.
Cloudfin Raptor- This looks interesting for some type of aggressive blue based deck. Similar potential to Delver, though obviously a bit slower due to the reliance on continuing to play more creatures. Still, the theoretical ceiling on the Raptor is much higher. I'm torn on whether this would dictate more or less of my deck slots than Delver in order to get a similar payoff. What do you guys think, is the curve here to utilize this?
Hands of Binding- Sure, being a sorcery sucks, but how awesome is it to turn one of your fliers into a mini Frost Titan?

What about the Caca Toad (cuz I can't remember the real name)?
Being a 1/3 Reacher for 3 is ok, but with the ability to grow to maybe a 2/4 or even a 3/5 would seem great....but then again, I usually speculate towards Cube and EDH so my constructed-fu is weak.

I have a soft spot for flying tramplling critters. It's been over a week, yet every time I read this I read "flying trampoline critters" for some reason. Makes for a weird mental image. That being said, I'm curious to see what other Extort cards we will see at Common. Syndic of Tithes seems like something that could make it in a few decks and I'm wondering if there's a possible B/W Extort deck in Classic's future.

Oh snap, I'd love to see a B/W Extort deck in Pauper. Hmmm.... I wonder if it would be wortwhile as some kind of psuedo- Soul Sisters shell with some of those variants which are all inevitably quite cheap providing life differentials and a low enough mana cost to easily pay for Extort on them as well as the game goes, further increasing the life offset.

Ok. This card isn't a common, but so interesting I have to share it here. Whispering Madness: I don't know if any of you know but there is a very similar card already that is banned in legacy and restricted in Vintage: So that card is absolutely broken! We can all agree on that! But how much worse Whispering Madness is? How big difference a one mana makes?

I think the one extra mana initially, but with the ability to cast it every time the encoded creature gets through for free, makes it worthwhile.
I can't imagine how much better it would be if it was a mono blue spell, though.

I canĀ“t wait to try out Dimir Guildgate personally. But other than the Gates, I doubt anything will affect Classic Pauper
