Current record 26-10
I've only played one game with Gruul in the last few days.
1-2 vs. RUG Flicker Gate - Ok, I learned something after playing vs. this deck. When you flicker a creature that you've stolen with Smelt-Ward Gatekeeper you keep the creature. Ghostly Flickers says, "Exile two target artifacts, creatures, and/or lands you control, then return those cards to the battlefield under YOUR control." - - - keyword "your", he beat me but it's always nice to learn something.
I am going to work up a SB plan and publish it here, and will also bring up some discussion points for some of the new decks that are popping up. Would love to see some discussion on the next show about how to SB vs. some of the new decks in the next show. Are SB changes required?

So, you can Act of Treason to Ghostly Flicker, and keep your target? That sounds very broken.

So, you can Act of Treason to Ghostly Flicker, and keep your target? That sounds very broken. Yeah, it feels unintuitive for sure. It is quite clunky but in a slow format like Standard Pauper, it works well Managed to play just a single duel with the deck today (misclicked the choice of single match or best of 3 :-) ) At least this was the duel where I learned to use Bloodrush properly.... I don't have a written SB plan yet but am working on it. Did you ever finish it? I am trying to decide if this is still my #1 choice if I would play in a PRE or if I am going FlickerGate.

I added Mill and Flicker but both would be horrible matchups. vs. Boros - White Weenie -2 Brimstone Volley -2 Searing Spear +4 Thunderbolt vs. Mill never played this match-up with Gruul +4 Curse of the Pierced Heart +2 Natural End -4 Hunger of the Howlpack -2 Deadly Recluse vs. Flicker - Had just started seeing this deck pop-up -4 Hunger of the Howlpack +4 Curse of the Pierced Heart vs. Mono Blue - Delver +4 Hunger of the Howlpack +4 Thunderbolt vs. Cyclops +3 Gnaw to the Bone -3 Hunger of the Howlpack vs. Selesnya -4 Hunger of the Howlpack +2 Natural End +2 Thunderbolt vs. mono red +3 Gnaw to the Bone -2 Deadly Recluse -1 Zhur-Taa Swine vs. Extort +4 Curse of the Pierced Heart +4 Thunderbolt -4 Hunger of the Howlpack -4 Searing Spear ...but I would think of adding Primal Huntbeast MD and casting Hunger of the Howlpack on him anytime you lose a creature. With the number of creatures you have you can sac plenty to Devour Flesh. Still, when Mill gains uber life it's hard to come back and Flicker decks can just block and flicker. There is a list that runs a full complement of Primal Huntbeast and Rubbleback Rhino. That list has pump spells and fling to speed the deck up. Here's a link. pdcmagic.com/gatherling/deck.php?mode=view&id=23738I'll say it like this. If you were playing your flicker deck and you saw Gruul (our list) wouldn't it make you happy?
