I've been playing a bit of izzet post and a bit of dimir post and I decided that combining them might be cool. Here is a deck list I came up with:
Lands
7 Island
4 Swamp
1 Mountain
2 Dimir Aqueduct
4 Glimmerpost
4 Cloudpost
2 Terramorphic Expanse
Mana Filters
1 Expedition Map
4 Prophetic Prism
Creatures with card advantage
1 Mnemonic Wall
3 Sea Gate Oracle
3 Mulldrifter
Cards Draw/Dig/Seach
3 Mystical Teachings
2 Deep Analysis
2 Forbidden Alchemy
1 Death Denied
Counterspells
2 Prohibit
2 Dispel
3 Condescend
Removal/Silver Bullets
3 Wrecking Ball
1 Capsize
1 Echoing Decay
1 Doom Blade
Finishers
1 Rolling Thunder
1 Ulamog's Crusher
1 Bloodrite Invoker
Sideboard
1 Bloodrite Invoker
2 Innocent Blood
2 Duress
1 Steel Sabotage
2 Dispel
1 Wrecking Ball
2 Hydroblast
2 Choking Sands
2 Echoing Decay
It looks like a mess and at this point it probably is, but I wanted to discuss the little cool card interactions that it has and see if it can be improved. Some of these interactions already existed in the common versions of this deck, but its impressive to see how they all affect each other.
Death Denied - Works well with: Mnemonic Wall, other Creatures, lots of land, Mystical Teachings and Forbidden Alchemy.
Death Denied lets you return to your hand X creatures from your graveyard. This works pretty well with this deck since it can generate plenty of mana to make this work. It can be fetched by Mystical Teachings, it can recover any creatures thrown into the graveyard by Forbidden Alchemy and it can be recovered by Mnemonic Wall. Basically, your whole deck needs to be in the graveyard or you can recover it all.
Mnemonic Wall - Works well with capsize, death denied, Forbidden Alchemy.
Mnenonic Wall is an expensive blocker that returns a sorcery or graveyard to your hand. Between this and Death Denied it is possible to recover most cards discarded by Forbidden Alchemy. Add in capsize and a lot of mana and you have an engine that makes everyone rage quit.
Forbidden Alchemy - Works well with Deep Analysis, Mystical Teachings, Death Denied and Mnemonic Wall. This lets you look at 4 cards, keep one and discard the rest. Having Flashback on a number of spells greatly reduces the discard drawback of Forbidden Alchemy. With Death Denied and Mnemonic Wall, the drawback is basically cancelled and becomes card advantage.
Deep Analysis - Works well with Forbidden Alchemy. This draws you 2 cards and has a cheap flashback cost to draw another 2, perfect for discarding with Forbidden Alchemy.
Wrecking Ball - This is an instant (works well with Mystical Teachings) that can destroy a land or a creature. That makes it excellent against the mirror match (best targets: cloudpost and Uzamog's Crusher). Since cloudpost decks are taking over a large percentage of the metagame, its a great maindeck card that is never dead.
That's about all I have to say for now. That and that its really difficult to play this deck (as most blue based cloudpost decks are).
