And as much as I like a booster box, for the same price at most online stores you can preorder a full playset of commons/uncommons from Innistrad. Unless there are rares you really want...

Some VERY nice additions today. No pictures yet mtgsalvation.com/innistrad-spoiler.html#55671. Ambush Viper 1g 2/1 Creature - Snake Flash Deathtouch Basically destroy attacking non-flying creature. 2. Victim of Night bb Instant Destroy target non-Vampire, non-Werewolf, non-Zombie creature. Limited it will be less valuable than constructed since there are so many creatures in this set it cannot kill. It kills things Doom Blade cannot kill (black creatures). Double black makes it less powerful than Go For the Throat and Doom Blade, but it is nice common removal. 3. Smite the Monstrous 3w Instant Destroy target creature with power 4 or greater. Conditional, but a condition I would like to have in my hand at common and instant speed. 4. Infernal Plunge r Sorcery As an additional cost to cast Infernal Plunge, sacrifice a creature. Add {R}{R}{R} to your mana pool. Turn one: Goblin Arsonist Turn Two: Choose One Perhaps you can think of some more?

Smite the Monstrous might as well be re-named "Smite the Crusher".
And turn 2, Minotaurs.

Just for kicks...bear with me as this is not pauper but still standard. Want a turn 2 Blood-thirsted Furyborn Hellkite and a turn 3 kill? Turn one: Play Mountain then Turn two: Play Mountain then Infernal Plunge r Sorcery As an additional cost to cast Infernal Plunge, sacrifice a creature. Add {R}{R}{R} to your mana pool. Then play: Then Play: Turn 3: Swing then Turn 3 kill for 25 total damage (one can dream). God hand. I just puked a little.

I don't know about that strategy... It open you for CDA and I generally don't like auras. But I haven't looked through the whole set yet, so my opinions doesn't rely on this set but on the general level. How much there is common removal in this set?

My Sealed pool from this morning had some of the pieces I mentioned above. I was able to play with two of each of these cards: I went 3/3 but it was the slow part which caused me problems. I also had three other cards which did good work on the day: The Waif was an allstar along with the Furor of the bitten. I had two games which were 4th turn kills and was sooo close to a kill on turn 3. I'll be playing again in a couple of hours. I hope everyone had/has fun this weekend. There was more synergy across the board in Sealed with this set than I have seen before. Everyone had good decks. It felt like draft rather than Sealed. Very cool set for Limited play.

But I haven't looked through the whole set yet, so my opinions doesn't rely on this set but on the general level. How much there is common removal in this set? General opinion of the removal in this format (from other podcasts and players) seems to be that it's very, very conditional. Most of it may or may not make a splash in constructed, and it needs to be carefully thought out in draft.

I'm most exited about the Armored Skaab, Deranged Assistant, and 2 of Selhoff Occultist that makes up my new Esper Dredge No Dredge Deck.
Deranged Assistant's flavor text is the best!!!
