On case you are interested about the new clien I highly recommend to listen latest LR podcast. Ryan Spain is there to discuss the new client. www.mtgcast.com/?p=22093However the most important question "Does the new client support OS X" is not raised in the show

I believe they have reiterated many times that they will NOT be supporting OS X in the near future. This is unfortunate for us Mac geeks but at least we have boot camp and Virtual Machine software.
One biiiig market I think they should really look into is the tablet market. I am convinced that an awesome interface could be made for a touchscreen device like the ipad and the other tablets and that it would make for an excellent experience... however, I think for now that's just a little bullet point in their list of possible things to do in the future.

Now that the Beta is open to everyone, I’m curious to know how you guys feel about it. I’ve been using it for a few days, and I like it quite a bit. I’m a little annoyed by the lack of sorting and customizing options for the “Decks & Binders” section, but otherwise it seems to be pretty good. I haven’t had to deal with any bugs and I really like the new interface when you’re in a match. And I really really like being able to customize the F keys. I always wanted F6 to be at F5, and now it can. The only issue I have now is that I’d like to have a second monitor at home. Having the client on one screen and the chat on the other screen would be sweet.

I've finally been able to play some matches with the beta. I'm beginning to understand it, but there is a learning curve. Especially since I've trained myself to deal with all of version 3's eccentric behaviors, I feel like I'm starting over again.
And having dual monitors is great, because the chat is out of the picture, giving me more room to play my game.
