So I decided to give it a go (and started preparing for PttP league #2, in case it is standard pauper ) and built my first ever std legal pauper deck. Oh boy it is fun to play against something that isn't affinity/post/ww/infect. Delver and ramp are still around, but different decks of course than in classic. I thought the matches would never fire, but I didn't have to wait for long. I started the game in the casual room and typed into chat that i am testing std pauper. In a less than a minute someone joined always I played against one very interesting deck. It was BRG with cool synergies. Perilous Myr/Altar's Reap/Gravedigger loop was irritating to face. Fume Spitter, Incinerate were great removal and Festerhide Boar was big! I myself am playing monored aggro. My idea is to: T1: Flayer Husk or Goblin Arsonist T2: Ashmouth Hound T3: Blood Ogre T4: Gorehorn Minotaurs That doesn't happen though But I have lots of burn to make way for the creatures to connect and enable bloodthirst. Goblin Gaveleer with Flayer Husk is also fun Sylvok Lifestaff would be nice in the SB, but I don't have any. And yeah Perilous Myr is everywhere!

When I briefly played monored Std Pauper, I found Goblin Fireslinger to be a great 1-drop bloodthirst enabler. It could often make the difference in those annoying matches where you never draw the Gorehorn as well, letting you ping away at your opponent while the board is all congested. I was running four.

Also I am still unsure if card is legal in std pauper if it is currently printed as not-common, but previously printed as common. Does anyone know what is the case?

My deck is running really well. Quite many people quit after game 1 for some reason...
BUT I encountered 4c "control" (WRGB) and I had no chances against that. What a sick deck that was.

Actually, I've always been pretty much against Standard since it's too expensive which doesn't apply to Pauper. I guess I'll start my MTGO career with Standard or even Block. Maybe someone could give me some kind of turbo start by providing some cards? Matti, for example, should have enough when drafting that much ;D

I have offloaded all my commons few times, but still I should have lots of playables for Standard Pauper. And sure I can give you some. You don't have modo account yet? edit. And drafting in modo is fun + provides lots of cards for pauper!
