I love all the wording to essentially say, "Meet a person on here. Trade online if you want. Getting shafted is your problem. Online buyers beware."This is Pauper to the People Trading Lounge.
Trading Lounge is meant to bring traders together and plan trades beforehand outside the MtG:O client. Trading Lounge is merely a place to look for other traders and Pauper to the People, Pauper to the People forums and it's staff want to provide you this chance to find trading opportunities. However, if the rules and regulations aren't followed or they cause any harm we reserve the right to delete all content from the Trading Lounge without a warning.
The following rules and regulations govern all transactions within the Trading Lounge, as well as any disputes that may arise. If you have questions or concerns regarding Trading Lounge, please feel free to contact staff via private message.
I. By maintaining a trade, buy or sales thread in Trading Lounge, posting inquiries or inquiring via private message about items listed in a Trading Lounge thread, you consent to and agree to abide by the following rules and regulations. You agree not to bring legal action of any kind against Pauper to the People, Pauper to the People forums or its staff for any reason, including but not limited to the posting of any and all personally identifiable information in a list of banned members should you be banned from these forums or have trading privileges revoked. These rules constitute your first and only warning. All offences in Trading Lounge are automatic infractions.
II. Trading Lounge is purely meant for only Magic the Gathering Online trading. For Physical trading you may use some other media, like MTGS trading forums. If you want to sell or buy cards from other users you must use MtG:O tickets to do so.
III. You may only represent yourself within Trading Lounge. You may not arrange trades for your friend, please invite them to create own account to the forums. Users found in violation of this rule will have their accounts permanently suspended from Trading Lounge. There are no exceptions.
IV. Once both parties have agreed a trade by posting I agree to this trade and quoting the proposed trade to the other trader via PM or in the appropriate thread the trade is considered to be confirmed. Also try to agree a specific time for the actual trade in MtG:O.
Once the trade is confirmed this way and if the other person fails to complete the trade it is considered to be a violation to the rules and regulations and a valid ground to file a Bad Trade Report.
Users who submit BTRs that do not meet the minimum criteria outlined in these rules will receive infractions.
V. Whilst we respect your privacy, if you are the accused party in a Bad Trade Report, your MtG:O username will remain public until the dispute is settled. Should the dispute result in the accused being banned from Pauper to the People forums, suspended or banned from Trade Lounge or listed as a bad trader, we reserve the right to repost your MtG:O username as a public service. Members in good standing may request their information be removed from the forums. Requests for information to be removed from the Bad Trade Reports thread will be handled on a case by case basis.
VI. We reserve the right to make any BTR ruling we deem necessary to protect the integrity of Pauper to the People forums.
VII. Users must be at least the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction they reside in and legally able to make a binding legal agreement or contract in order to participate in Trading Lounge. Users under the age of majority found trading will be banned from Trading Lounge. Proof of identity and age may be requested by staff, and refusal to provide such proof of identity and age will result in automatic banning.
VIII. All users must also agree to follow all rules and policies set by Wizards of the Coast about trading in Magic the Gathering: Online.
IX. Pauper to the People, Pauper to the People forums and it's staff are not responsible for any harm that might be caused due to forum moderating, forum maintenance or software problems.
Bad Trade Reports
A Bad Trade Report (henceforth BTR) is filed when a user is suspected of or caught breaking any rule(s) governing Trading Lounge or violating established ethics regarding a transaction on Trading Lounge.
Filing a BTR should be your last resort to resolve any disputes pertaining to your trades. You should attempt to resolve the matter privately before seeking administrative relief.
When filing a BTR, make it clear that with who are you having the dispute and make sure to indicate the nature of your dispute within your post as well as providing all substantiating documents, such as private messages, emails, instant message logs or any relevant photographs and screenshots.
Members who are listed as the defendant in a BTR thread are considered suspended from trading as of when the thread is posted and may not make offers or confirm trades until the case is dismissed.
Do NOT post in BTR threads that do not involve you! Unless the information you are posting is vital to the case at hand. Infractions will be issued if the information is not vital or the post is spam.
Do NOT 'bump' BTR threads. You may post new, relevant info to the case (as a double post), but you are not allowed to bump for an update request or anything else. This will result in infractions.
Members who do not have valid trading privileges may not post BTR threads.
BTRs may result in disciplinary action, even if the case is resolved without loss or hardship to anyone. Sloppy trading practices and other issues may result in disciplinary action even if made corrected when identified.
