I saw the vids as well. Pretty good man, and nice wins as well (corrupt and its not countered vs the blue deck, NICE).

I also think the videos were quite nice and I really enjoy having another Pauper source in video format. Moreover, it was kind of an interesting match-up since Delver blue is heavily represented in the current metagame. However, I don't agree with you on several levels. First, I think your decklist (incl. the sideboard) is suboptimal. This concerns not few cards but especially having only two Tendrils of Corruption seems pretty wrong to me (btw. I'm very surprised that Mike didn't object Oo). Second, even though you won the two-man, there were a couple of misplays in my opinion. Personally, I think if you'd played differently, you even could've won game 1 (depending on the draws of your opponent). I mean, I'm currently not playing Magic online yet, so my opinion and evaluation might be just crap. But on the other hand, I've been playing (Paper) Pauper for 3-4 years now with MBC as one of my first deck, so I guess I've gathered some experience. Which brings me to another topic (here's your hatemail, Mike. Although I got to admit, it's less for you). I'm a bit disappointed that you've never managed to come back to me concerning either my version of MBC as mentioned already quite some time ago (episode 33), nor regarding my suggestion of commenting on some matches of the Pauper League. I mean, I don't mind discarding my ideas or not being on the podcast or anything and I know you all got a lot to do, but I would have appreciated it if you shot me a notifying message on the status (something like: "We've considered your idea, but it's not suiting our show" or whatever).

William,
We had a conversation through Skype about you recording matches for the league event. I was under the impression that everything was clear, and you were free to commentate during matches. I was actually on the verge of getting in contact with you, wondering if you still wanted to do it. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding that seems to have occurred.
Which brings me to the e-mail regarding episode 33. I simply forgot to get back to you about it. But if you feel slighted, it was not my intention. I'm always interested in different perspectives in the game, especially those from other countries.
I do everything I can to acknowledge everyone's input in regards to the show. It would not surprise me if there were other people who I have neglected to get back to. The reality is I try to juggle this show, a band, a wife, two kids, and a full time job. But, I'm not about the excuses. All I can do is apologize and promise to do better.
Regarding the video, yeah I agree. I tendrils the wrong guy game one, corrupted to the dome instead of to a creature, and probably a couple of other mistakes along the way. And my opponent seemed to be playing a little loose as well.

I didn't mean to kind of blame you or anything. I know that you and all your co-hosts really do a lot for this podcast and everything that's connected with it (like the League) and I really appreciate it. Concerning the League coverage: I thought you'd maybe wanted to mention it on the podcast since nobody answered on the forums (which doesn't mean that nobody's interested, I assume). But that's just a misunderstanding then. And concerning the other issue: I thought that you've simply forgotten about it (unintentionally, of course). However, I did kind of felt a bit pretermitted. I'm happy we settle that one

So what where the misplays Chris did and what would you have done highgene?
I think this is a great place to discuss those kinds of things. I want there to be more discussions about playing and things like that in the podcast, but there is no public back and forth in the podcasts and in the videos, but there can be in the forums. Take a look at the Infect Primer thread for a good example of play and deck selection discussions. I hope we can do something like that for more decks.

I agree with you, gabochido, that more discussion about play decisions would definitively help the community to improve. However, I find it quite difficult to connect the arguments to the specific situation during the match. Furthermore, Chris mentioned already some major ones.

Congratulation man, the Magic community needs more people like you. And SeemsGoodMagic is pretty nice. The guys over there have been doing a great job with their site and podcast so far, in a manner and a style similar to what you've been doing with your show since the beginning. Seems (ah! ) like a good fit.
