Hey guys so I've been playing this deck for a while and its super match-up dependent but its definitely THE MOST FUN you can have playing in pauper. You can both gain infinite life and deal infinite damage with it.
The idea for this deck is old, but after hearing you guys discuss the masques set review a while back, it sounded like you'd never seen it.
I've tested this deck a bunch in the two mans and it has about a 60% win against delver and affinity, destroys monoblack, pillages goblins, and does pretty good against mono white. The only problem is it absolutely gets destroyed by infect, post, and storm. Though after side boarding each matchup besides post gets a lot better. Ill walk you through it.
9x Plains
7x Islands
3x Terramorphic Expanse
1x Forest
Creatures
4x Ramosian Sergeant
4x Nomads en-kor
4x Daru Spiritualist
4x Crookclaw transmuter
3x Task force
2x Spirit en-kor
1x Ramosian Lieutenant
1x Defiant Falcon
1x Amrou Scout
1x Avian Changeling
Spells
4x Ponder
4x inside out
4x Impulse
3x Heal the Scars
Sideboard
4x Tireless tribe
3xapostle's blessing
3x standard bearer
3x steel sabotage
1x aven rift watcher
1x nightwind glider
So this deck works in general like this get out one of the kor guys and get out either task force or daru-spirtualist. You can use the kor guy's ability to make the toughness on the task force or spiritualist infinite. Thus both your kor guys and your task force/spiritualist are invincible. Then after this you can use either crook claw transmuter or Inside out to flip their power and toughness thus doing infinite. Otherwise you can gain infinite with heal the scars.
There are some secrets to this deck however. First off is the rebels. Their primary purpose is to get the task force into play, however, a great alternative strategy against some matchups is to just use them to fetch an entire army to swarm opponents to death. They also get your secret weapon, the avian changeling.
The avian changeling is amazing in this deck because if you get a daru spiritualist out and a kor guy now you have an evasive guy who can swing in for infinite. He is the silver bullet in some matchups.
There is a secret weapon in the sideboard too. Against the bad matchups board in your tireless tribes and hope to get a god hand. You can win on turn two if you turn one plains tireless tribe, turn two discard your whole hand and flip his toughness with inside out.
However, the biggest secret about this deck is people have no idea what you are doing. This is perhaps a problem with giving estimates about my win percentages as they may go down if this deck proliferates, but usually there is some point in the game where you can swing in with a task force into a bunch of their guys, and they will take it. It's amazing how quickly a stalemate can turn into a victory.
The last thing I'll do is give a quick list of tactics that I've found work against some decks
against delver - get out a rebel as soon as you can and look to get out your avian changeling. Game one on the draw is a little tough but if you board in the aven riftwatcher you should have no problem. If you get a sergeant out they can only beat you by flipping a delver and going very aggro and the riftwatcher stops them dead in their tracks.
Affinity - this matchup often gets to a standstill and requires the aven changeling to fly over the top. However, this takes a while to develop and the have atog + disciple or fling to get past your arsenal of infinite toughness dudes. The key to this matchup is getting your green source to get infinite life before that happens.
Goblins - this is probably the best matchup since their removal can't kill your guys once you get the combo up, the best thing to do is game one combo them to the face and game two once they know what is up, just get some flyers out and swing over the top. If you go infinite on life they usually just scoop once you gain about 100.
Monoblack - they are annoying I'll give you that but rebels actually give them a tough time since they go after your hand.
Against all the bad matchups - well just try to get lucky with the tribes! There is support in that the bearers can take out the infect deck and the steel sabotages can hopefully take out serrated arrows which are the bane of this deck.
Anyways enjoy!
