Couple of game related thoughts
1) they should move christmas from dec 25th to whatever day MW comes out. Be much easier on parents 2) Skyrim on table taunting me every night (do I have 100 hours to burn?) 3) Why as a 40 year old do I think Super Mario 3DS is awsome? 4) Never underestimate the power of CONSUMER BRAND LOYALITY
on the point of 3DS ; after a slow start I think now it is worth it

And, if you ask me, the best game ever is Dragon Age: Origins and you should all be excited, very excited, about the upcoming Star Wars MMO. I beg to disagree. Dragon Age is a fine game, but the Baldur's Gate series is still my #1 game(s) of all time. Star Wars, I don't know. Game seems great, but Mass Effect has been my Star Wars since it came out. What Star Wars fans feel about that brand and that universe, I feel that for Mass Effect. So I'm much more excited about that one. That being said, if there's a developer which can make me like the Star Wars universe - it's BioWare, so... I may take a look at it. Edit: And jcrodd7776... yes, be wary of Skyrim. This thing eat hours for lunch. If you're not careful, it will eat your evenings and your weekends and your wife will start threatening you with extra chores before you realize what is happening.

...the Baldur's Gate series is still my #1 game(s) of all time. I hear ya and had I played Baldur's Gate when it came out I would probably have that opinion as well, but, like the little kids who saw Episodes 1 to 3 first and thought they were better than the original holy trilogy, DA:O was my first game so I have a soft spot for it.

It seems like most of you are console gamers, huh? I rather prefer a computer since it is more versatile (i.e. not just for gaming). It may also be due to my favorite game genre RTS. So my favorite games are - of course - Starcraft, followed by Starcraft II.

I love a good RTS, but I find it way more relaxing to play in front of a large screen with a full set of speakers while lying on one of those couches with flip-up leg rests. For adventure games and anything atmospheric (like survival-horror or some shooters), that just can't be beaten.
However, I will of course play on a PC things like starcraft and Civilization, and lets not forget MTGO!

Also, SKYRIM. On the PC if you can run it. XBox 360 if not. Avoid the PS3 version, I hear it's buggy. Yeah, the PS3 version is messy. Bethesda products have a bad track record on Sony consoles. I'm curious, where are you with this Chris? I'm 45 hours in with a sword and shield fighter-type character, heavy on Smithing and Enchanting, with some Speech thrown in. But I ran afoul of the Cragslane Cavern bug, and I'd like a character I can use for all the factions (Companions, Thieve's Guild, etc), so I'm thinking about starting fresh with a new toon.

Sword and board Nord. Say it 3 times fast.
Working on my smithing and enchanting at the moment. I also am trying to bump up the sneaky skills, as I saw some youtube footage of a full stealth assassin character just owning fools.

If someone is interested about history and likes really "harcore" strategy gaming, then I can recommend Europa Universalis III: Chronicles. Wow!
