Just a few to get started:
LA Noire Red Dead Redemption Fallout 3/New Vegas
If you use XBox Live for downloadable games.....
Bastion Shadow Complex Bastion Trenched Bastion Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Bastion
(Yes, Bastion is that good)
What type of game do you prefer to play?

Well, Gears of War 2 and Mass Effect 2 are both great, and probably pretty cheap to own now as well.
Have you played Bioshock?

So I own all 3 of the major current gen consoles and I have to say, the Wii has been a disappointment lately. I primarily play on Xbox, mainly because all my friends have that and not a PS3, so when buying 3rd party games that release on both, I sway towards xbox so I can play online with friends. Currently I play Age of Empires Online on PC and Dead Island on Xbox. Dead Island is amazingly cool! I cannot believe how different it is than I originally thought it was going to be. Its as if Borderlands, Left 4 Dead, and Fallout all had a three-some and had Dead Island as its baby. This game is fantastic fun! Just the perfect tide me over game until Battlefield 3 comes out next month. In which I will then be unknown to all whom are not on my xbox live friend list.

If you want a game that is hard, and yet fun I say try Ikaruga It's a top down Shoot'em ups, but is more commonly called a bullet hell game because they guys come at you fast, and bullets/ lasers are everywhere. I have the Gamecube version of it, but there is a Xbox Live Arcade form of it. Also Super Meat Boy again freakishly hard, but for some weird reason I can't stop playing it.

Super Meat Boy is amazing. I can't believe I forgot to mention that one!
My daughter can beat the entire first world of that game, which is a pretty impressive feat for a six year old. I have to skip through the cut scene where the squirrel gets his head chopped off, though. It makes her sad.

My PSP is the primary go to gaming device. Currently playing Cladun and Tactics Ogre, both of which are great. I do own an Xbox but really only use it for Netflix but I may need to check out Bastion.

I use Mac & iPhone for playing purposes. (yes I have to emulate windows in OS X due to the fact that wiazrds is a stupid company and MTGO doesn't support OS X).

You can also grab Bastion on Steam for the same price. They also have the soundtrack available, which is killer too. Bastion is one of the few games that I actually New Game+'d.

I'm currently going through a Gears of War marathon with my wife. We played both Gears 1 and 2 in coop, and with Gears 3 coming out in a few days we decided to re-play the first two 'acts' for the fun of it. It's been awesome. ;D
Anyway...
Have any of you guys had the chance to try Resistance 3? I've been hearing good things about it, but not having played the first two, I'd be curious to know people's opinions on the serie and on it's third installment.

If you don't mind it being on the PC theres a little game called Killing Floor. Its a FPS zombie wave game.Think of zombies on MW2 and black ops but with different kinds like left 4 dead.Nice class based system in witch you can level them up to get more/better perks.Loads of guns from a 9mm to a LAW rocket launcher.Best of all they work with steam to do events to ring in new maps and just keep things spicy. The people are nice for the most part unless you come across a TF2 player but they always complain no matter what there doing. All in all its a good game well built and is mod friendly. You can make your own maps and download ones others made, the makers of the game had taken a few of the fan made maps and released them with a update they where so good.I'm rambling as i tend to do sorry.Anyway 20 bucks its a smart buy maybe you can get it on sale,so keep a eye out for it its great fun.

I have a PS3 and Wii. I preferred the PS3 over an XBox because the networking stuff is free, its my Bluray player and I've had bad experiences with too many Microsoft products so I avoid them in general. I got the Wii cause I'm a Nintendo fan and its a really good system for people with families.
I'm currently playing Bioshock myself, such an awesome game. I've got quite a few games waiting for me to have time to play them, including Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Half-Life 2.
I'm a little bit behind cause of work, family and magic but playing games being just a couple of years behind in games makes the hobbie incredibly cheap. I was able to buy the Orange Box and Bioshock for $15 each. That's less than the cost of a steak! Who said video games were expensive!?
And, if you ask me, the best game ever is Dragon Age: Origins and you should all be excited, very excited, about the upcoming Star Wars MMO.
