Am I the only one who read this? And if not, am I the only one who got upset by some of the things mentioned in this article? I'm... flabbergasted. Sexual harassment is okay because it's part of the community, part of the culture? How can this be a part of any culture? Women on the receiving end of misogynistic comments, being insulted, ridiculed... this is all fine because everybody else is doing it? It's alright because it's frickin' America and you can say whatever you want? Really? How is this acceptable? I just can't wrap my head around this one. I understand that these comments came from one person, and that not everyone in that community may think like he does. But it would be foolish to think that he's the only one. Because he's not. And the thing is, this is not unique to the Fighting Game community. Most other male dominated gaming communities, Magic included, are guilty of this. It drives me insane everytime I see or hear of such a thing. Heck, I can't even formulate a correct sentence. Crazy...

I'm really glad they brought Patrick Klepek on over at Giant Bomb. He seems to do a pretty decent job of staying objective when he reports.
This whole situation is almost identical to the M:tG situation. Increased popularity, fanboys being jerks, etc. It's not cool here, and it's not cool there.
