I've been thinking and figured it might be good to get a little wider feedback on the deck that I've been tinkering with lately. Inspired largely by Wolf Run Ramp, it's gone through a few different iterations in the last week or so.
Scuzzback Marauders were in until recently as an effective beater to removal and keep coming back for more. Still, while it's attractive in an G/r build due to the hybrid mana cost, I recently swapped it out for Blastoderm.
I've been on the fence about a couple other cards so far as well. Subterranean Shambler doesn't seem like a terrible option in some cases as a Pauper Inferno Titan to help clear out some of the board, and killing off my own Viridian Emissaries doesn't seem like a terrible idea. As well, I've been considering Ghostflame in the sideboard as another option to deal with Guardian of the Guildpact. Lastly, I've been thinking about upping the number of Sylvan Rangers, though the fact that they don't put the lands into play directly has me wary.
In other news, the MVPs of the deck have been Ulamog's Crusher and Evolution Charm. Sure, I'm just playing casual games with it, but it doesn't seem that Crusher is expected in non- Post decks. Evolution Charm, on the other hand, appears to be all that and a bag of chips for this deck. Ramp when I need it, brings back a dead or countered (or in Tusker's case, cycled) fatty, or puts one over the top for the finishing blow.
I'm sure it's not the end all of decks, but it's been fun to experiment with and further input would be welcome.
