My wife and I got our bikes last weekend. We've been talking about getting bicycles for two years, but never got around to actually doing it. But I'm a that age when I need to do battle with my metabolism if I want to keep a decent waistline, and although I have a solid home gym, there's nothing like doing cardio outside. So we got ourselves some wheels. Now neither of us had a bike in nearly 10 years - probably closer to 15 years in my case. And let me tell you: when I got on that thing so that the tech guy could adjust it, I felt about as secure as a squirrel on a power line. They say that you never forget how to ride, but you can only remember so much! ;D Still, I can't wait. We just need to have a hitch installed on the car so that we can get the bikes from the inlaws' place, and we're good to go. So yeah, just felt like sharing some non-Magic stuff. Any bike enthusiasts out there?

I can't say that I am really enthusiast, but I do like some biking! Now that I missed whole winter training in football (soccer) I will propably skip this summer and concentrate on biking. I started biking last summer (well I have had bike since I was 3 but last summer I started to do biking exercises for fun) and I really enjoy it. One tip: If you have iPhone (or similar phone) I suggest you get sportstracker for it. It is just so much fun! Definitely adds value to the hobby - and it's free! www.sports-tracker.com/ You can also share your stats through it for friends if you like that

In Sunday I was "sightseeing" with my friend in Vantaa. www.sports-tracker.com/#/workout/mattipalola/88scnjrra01r4mm2And just while ago I did a small trip in my neighborhood. Both can be found from my tweets. Just to give you an idea how the app works.

456 kilometres tracked so far this summer. It's nothing impressive, but I am happy That's still pretty good. I have less than half of that. Work and stuff keep getting in the way. On the plus side, I started hitting the weights pretty heavily again. I'm a little rusty after 3 years, but I'm quickly getting back to where I was strength wise and losing the few extra pounds I have gained since last I trained. I should keep it fairly high intensity for the rest of the summer, work the cardio and the endurance, and then go for mass in about 3 months. Can't wait! (The wife can't either actually ).
