All,
At Matti's urging I played in my first draft on MTGO (cherry broken:))
It was fun got slaughtered but picked up a SNAPCASTER
Any hints to this format and tips on what format or when to play?

What did u draft? DII apparently?
If you wanna get better at drafting you have to listen to limited resources and keep practicing. DII is pretty good format and core sets are easy place to start.

Hmm...start with Swiss, and play Swiss until you are excellent. In fact, still play Swiss at that point, only venturing into 8-4's when you want some greater challenge.
Especially in the beginning, getting to play all three rounds will show you how your card choices play out. It's tough to see why a deck screwed up if you lose round one and you're out.
Remember B.R.E.A.D. as your pick order. Bombs Removal Evasive creatures Anything else Drecks
And use the fact that we can see our picks to try and keep your curve under control. Check out Marshall's (from Limited Resources) videos on mtgoacademy for some awesome tips and tricks.

Also I suggest looking for Simon Goertzen videos there! And definitely draft swiss!!! MtG:O is much harder environment than pretty much any local store.

I would give Time Spiral a try while pack prices are still low from cube. Plus, older formats are easier to do better in since more people are unfamiliar with them.
