Having said that, while it was a relatively unique deck, it was actually built by another guy and tweaked by their team and there were about 10 other players using it. Additionally, there was another variant that added red that was used by another bunch of people (about 10), according to the article that broke down the metagame.
I watched some of the coverage and it was definitely exciting. I was also really happy to see many successful decks (including the winner) with cards that many pros had considered "unplayable". Just goes to show how meaningless calling a card unplayable is.
I also thought the coverage was great, including good ol' Marshal doing a lot of it. The only disappointment was that John Loucks, also from Limited Resources, didn't do as well as I expected, I was cheering for him as I'm a big fan of the show.
