So, I built Living End in Modern, off of a recommendation from Cedric Phillips. Just played my first match with it. Umm, holy shit. After I swung for 56 the first match, and 40 the second, I think I'm sold.
We're gonna discuss it on the show tomorrow, as it's pretty budget for Modern.

I'm happy that you decided to make the jump in Modern. Living End is a very fun deck to play I found, and has a lot of game in it.
Which list are you using Chris? Cedric's?

Cedrics, verbatim. I'm digging it.

Cedrics, verbatim. I'm digging it. Ok ok. How do you like the Ingot Chewers maindeck? There's a few good targets out there - Shackles, Swords and Robots of course - but I still feel like they belong in the Sideboard.

That wasn't an issue that I've come up against yet. But I will take it under serious consideration.

I'm not saying that the Chewers are bad, I just feel that there are better options for maindeck cards. I'd rather run Faerie Macabre for example, which is good againt Affinity, Pod and Storm.
I also think that the manabase could benefit from a Forbidden Orchard or two as it gives a target for your Demonic Dread. Dryad Arbor does that too, but the card is very fragile. Jund Charm is also pretty solid in Living End. It's a sweeper if you need time, and getting rid of your opponent's graveyard before a Living End is always good.
I'd probably recommend a fourth Thorn of Amethyst in the 'board. The deck is weak against Storm and you really want a Thorn against that deck. Finks and Shriekmaw seems like a waste of space. I'd say keep one or the other as they basically try to do something similar. Ricochet Trap is good tech against Control or contermagic in general. The deck really want to play a Living End at one point, and the Traps allows you to play around counterspells. Loaming Shaman also helps against Control and it doubles as graveyard hate against Dredge and Pyromancer Ascension. You may also consider Dismembers if you run into Splinter Twins decks.

And quit trying to make me by more expensive lands!!!! Oh, I actually didn't look at the price of the Orchard. Sowry. Then again, you're the one who went with the expensive manabase. Less Shocklands and more Fastlands work quite well here.

I can see that. Don't get me wrong, I eventually want to have a playset of all of the lands available for the format, but I made the decision to stick to his list as a starting point.
I'm eager for some free time this weekend, to play around with the deck some more. Get a few more rounds in with this list, and then make some of the changes you suggested.
