As complements to the MTGO cube, we will be getting mirage and tempest blocks. This means that ALL the staples from these blocks will be dropping in price considerably. Expect Lotus petal to go down to about 4tx or even less. I expect crypt rats to be worth no more than .5tx by the end of the week.
So: sell now as high as you can, and wait for the prices to go down and buy them all again... or for the first time.

Yay! I'd love a set of Lotus Petals online to match the ones I've had in paper for years.

What staples there really are besides Petal and Rats? Not that many I suppose, I cant recall anything on the top of my head really...
I might be tempted to draft Tempest once... But then again Cube is available at same time and Cube format > any other limited format.

Except that the EV in these sets will be quite high due to these high value commons and of course wasteland! Choking sands 1tx Rolling thunder 2tx Benevolent unicorn 2tx Quirion ranger 1.5tx Kaerverk's Torch .5tx Mogg raider, .5tx Mogg conscripts .5tx Muscle Sliver .33tx Diabolic Edict .33tx (used to be 1.5tx!) Etc... Check the prices page. They really add up. I was able to sell my Mirage and Tempest cards for 70tx, though 30tx were just the lotus petals. I expect to buy all of them back plus the ones I was missing for about 30tx once the dust settles.

Excerpt from "State of the Program" on PureMTGO.com
Mirage Block Drafts!: Wizards has brought back Mirage block drafts, which are running now, and will continue through next downtime. Mirage block drafts are interesting – remember to block creatures with flanking very carefully. Financially, they can be lucrative. The EV of the cards in a Mirage block draft set is $11.96, more if you get a foil. You should break even, provided you win at least one round. The big money cards are Lion’s Eye Diamond, Vampiric Tutor, Null Rod, Enlightened Tutor and Undiscovered Paradise. Details here. Tempest Block Drafts!: Wizards will be bringing back Tempest block drafts starting next downtime. Tempest block drafts are fast. Shadow makes blocking tricky, and small, fast creatures abound. Financially, Tempest block drafts are not as profitable as Mirage, but they can pay off. The EV of the cards in a Tempest block draft set is $7.76, which is not great, but decent. The big money cards are pretty much all lands – Wasteland, (City of Traitors), Ancient Tomb and Mox Diamond. Note that Wasteland and Ancient Tomb are uncommons. Good hunting!

We've added a "collection guide" to Pauper's Cage Blog, starting with Mirage Block. The collection guide lists out all the expensive cards worth looking into and the cheap (basically bulk price) cards that are worth adding to your collection. Prices for all these cards well be at an all time low during the next couple of weeks thanks to the block being drafted to act soon if you wish to build your collection. Here's the link: pauperscage.blogspot.ca/2012/10/collection-building-mirage-block.html
