Ok so here are this weeks's Packs. Remember, look at each pack individually then pick, and you're picks are independent of any other picks being made. Draft any way you like! Good luck. Pack 1Pack 2Pack 3

Pack 1: In normal draft, it's often best to lean toward burn and removal if possible. In Cube however, the effectiveness of cards is higher, so snap-picking kill spells is not necessarily the thing to do. Guardian of the Guildpact survives pretty much everything. It's a solid trump to most of what an opponent can put on the board in a Pauper Cube, so I'd go with that.
Pack 2: Well, this can be a problem. We had three burn spells in pack 1, and three in this one. I'm even happier with my first pick now, but with so much burn around this could easily turn into an attrition war. I feel that I cannot not take some burn here, but if we're going for attrition, I need something with added value. So Firebolt it is. If I had taken the Boilerworks or the Tortured Existence in pack 1, I would take Ghitu Slinger instead.
Pack 3: Hee.... I really like the Longbow and the Boar is a solid beater, but I think I prefer Attended Knight. First Strike will make it come on top in many fights and - again - since we've seen a lot of burn already, the extra body means that I will always gain some value out of the card, even if it is immediately removed.

Its interesting to see that you went that way. Strong, and your explanations are spot on. Thanks Grumpy.

P1 guardian of the guildpact. There are 3-4 solid red cards in the pack, so I'm staying well away form the color. Riftwatcher is a stronger counter (in some ways) to aggressive red, but GOTP is simply a more powerful card.
P2. Hartebeast. There are 4 exceptional red cards, combined with the excess red in the first pack. This pack is going to be dangerous, because all 4 cards signal that red is open. The drafters 3-5 people down are going to get a green light for red...I'm staying as far away as possible. The hartebeast goes great in a GOTP deck and allows you to tutor up white enchantment removal - which is especially useful since I'm avoiding red.
P3. Snake Umbra. This one is a difficult pick. Snake umbra allows for a great opening into a GW cloak deck. Disturbed burial is one of the best (and under-rated imo) cards in pauper; it allows CA for a control or midrange style deck. Sleepless is also a tempting pick. Attendant knight is the safest pick (and could very well be the right one), but I'll go with snake umbra. GOTP/hartebeast/snake umbra is a great start to GW cloak.
