Hi, This is my attempt to brew myself in into the modern metagame I know sounds difficult! I have been playing Pyromancer Storm every now and then but generally the metagame and decks are not familiar to me. So please comment! The idea behind this deck is to be nasty and aggressive at the same time. 22 Lands: 1x Stirring Wildwood 4x Temple Garden 4x Plains 4x Forest 1x Dryad Arbor 1x Treetop Village 1x Gavony Township 4x Ghost Quarter (has synergy in this deck!) 2x Tectonic Edge 33 Creatures: 3x Avacyn's Pilgrim (budget option for Noble Hierarch) 1x Noble Hierarch 4x Birds of Paradise (i dont like this card so far..) 4x Dryad Militant 4x Leonin Arbiter 4x Qasali Pridemage 3x Thalia, Guardian of Thraben 2x Aven Mindcensor 4x Loxodon Smiter 2x Celestial Crusader 1x Baneslayer Angel 6 Spells: 4x Path to Exile 1x Rancor 1x Oblivion Ring Sideboard is still under construction since i dont know the metagame... Linvala would be clear 1x/2x ionclusion if I had tix to buy it. I will propably buy one for edh at some point so...

Mono red Burn/sligh is at least a pretty bad matchup. Needs something for the sideboard...

I have played a fair amount of games with this deck and done pretty well so far! Even though the format is still a big mystery to me and sideboarding correctly is really tough (let alone building a sideboard). I have looked some internet resources and looked at daily results. But modern is a format with space for brewing and different options so I am not following netdecks and I am building this deck based on my own experience. One interesting resource about the deck archetype can be found from manadeprived article: manadeprived.com/modern-art-2/My deck at the moment: 23 Lands:1x Stirring Wildwood 4x Razorverge Thicket 4x Temple Garden 2x Plains 1x Eiganjo Castle 3x Forest 1x Treetop Village 1x Gavony Township 4x Ghost Quarter (has synergy in this deck!) 2x Tectonic Edge 31 Creatures:4x Avacyn's Pilgrim 1x Noble Hierarch 2x Birds of Paradise (budget option for Noble Hierarch) 3x Dryad Militant 4x Leonin Arbiter 4x Qasali Pridemage 3x Thalia, Guardian of Thraben 3x Aven Mindcensor 3x Loxodon Smiter 2x Mirran Crusader 2x Baneslayer Angel 6 Spells:4x Path to Exile 1x Brave the Elements 1x Oblivion Ring 15 Sideboard:1x Brave the Elements 2x Creeping Corrosion 1x Dismember 2x Ethersworn Canonist 1x Relic of Progenitus 2x Rest in Peace 2x Rule of Law 4x Stony Silence As you can see the Noble Hierarch placeholder tag has been moved from Pilgrim to BoP. The extra power has been proven to be very useful and the mana is consistent. (Well BoP is good with Dismember). I have also added 4x Razorverge Thicket. Those fastlands are just really good! I am also testing out Eiganjo Castle atm, another Treetop Village is also a possibility for the deck... I have also added one Baneslayer Angel more to the deck. Sometimes you just need the beef to push the last dmg and Baneslayer can certainly do that. It is also very vital in the Burn matchup. Celestial Crusader was subpar (as I already knew) and I am testing Mirran Crusader atm. We are entering into the modern season and Noble Hierarch is really expensive atm. I will buy those after the season and try dailies if this deck can be tuned into the metagame at that moment. I will be testing this deck and making myself aware of the format and cards meanwhile.

Have you tested the original version from Kibler?

Have you tested the original version from Kibler? Nope. I dont have Lieges, Hierarchs and Linvalas, nor the money to buy into them in the middle of modern season. I will look those up once their prices settle down.

Anyone has ideas how GW can sb against Boggles? What does Spellskite do in that MU?

I'm a bit out of it, so take the following with a grain of salt.
Hatebears already run Qasali Pridemage, which is solid hate in itself. Thalia is also often played in that deck, and while the Boggle deck seems fast, she can probably slow it down to a more manageable pace.
In the Sideboard, Glaring Spotlight seems like a trap. It's very narrow and in a format like Modern, you want to maximize the effectiveness of your Sideboard. Unless the Boggle deck becomes insanely popular, the card is a waste of space. Besides, the Hatebears deck doesn't run a ton of removal. Even if you can reach through Hexproof thanks to the Spotlight, you still need to find one of your Path.
Simple Enchantment hate seems like a good option. And you have several options. Back to Nature and Ray of Revelation seems best, with Fracturing Gust and Paraselene as other potential options thanks to the life gain. I also like Harmonic Sliver and even War Priest of Thune if you want more hate creatures. The Boggle deck doesn't run a lot of creatures, so something like Surgical Extraction might work too.
Ensnaring Bridge is also an option, but the timing might be difficult to pull off and you may end up locking yourself out too.
In doubt, I'd say to hit your opponent with a bigger beatstick. Hold the fort with your creatures, slow him down with Thalia and Enchantment hate, and swing with Township-powered Baneslayer Angels or with Sword of X and Y-enhanced Birds.
Personally, I don't like Spellskite here. If you have it in your Sideboard already to deal with other decks, it's an extra option that might do good. But otherwise, I wouldn't waste my time with it.

Have you seen the updated list of G/W Hatebears that Brian Kibler has posted on SCG? It's interesting. He's still putting a lot of emphasis on the interaction between Gavony Township and Lingering Souls, with the Township also working as a trump card to break big-dude stalemates in his favor. He also added Deathrite Shaman to his deck as an answer to "Arc" spells like Electrolyze that have been popping in mid-range U/R/x lists, since the Shaman can actually survive those.
Most interesting though (IMHO) is how Thalia is nowhere to be seen. Not surprising with Storm weakened (gone?). Instead, there's more emphasis on Aven Mindcensors to deal with Pod decks and to disrupt land fetching, and Torpor Orbs are back in the Sideboard to deal with Splinter Twin decks.
