So? Any cards from Gatecrash that we feel could make it in Cubes? See the Salvation spoiler for reference. ... At this point I like Syndic of Tithes and I think it could replace something like Blade of the Sixth Pride. The Syndic is tougher than the kitty, and probably does more damage in the long run. Hands of Binding seems like a shoe in. Very good for Blue-based tempo decks. Might actually make it in non-Pauper Cubes. Crocanura in Green seems good. Giant Spiders are always strong in limited formats, and this is a Giant Spider that can attack a turn earlier. It won't take Penumbra Spider's place (unless Evolve really over perform as a mechanic) but it might make it in larger lists. Drakewing Krasis seems like good support for UG Aggro-Tempo. Might not replace Assault Zeppelid, but can definitely work side by side with it. I'm definitely wondering if I prefer it or Shambleshark though. My own Cube list is too small for me to add both, so that's going to be a difficult decision. Zhur-Taa Swine will probably make it in RG. It's about as big a body as you can find in Pauper Cubes, and it offers an uncounterable combat trick that can (and will) end games.

So far I like Zur-Taa Swine the most. That combat trick part is just too good to be true. Awesome card!

Cloudfin Raptor and Hands of Binding are both going in my cube (actually are sitting in my cart as I type this...) Having a possible 2/3 flyer on turn 3 is pretty good in a UX tempo or even aggro deck.
Crocanura is going to get a test, but I'm not totally sold in it yet.
I personally feel that the Swine looks good, but is a combat trick at best, and an OK creature at worst..unless you give it trample then its a great creature.
PIT FIGHT!!! A Instant speed Prey Upon in two colors that are known for having bigger butts?! YES. PLEASE.
And Shambleshark AKA Crableg Shark is another strong UG card after Assault Zeppelid, Snakeform, and Temporal Spring / Coiling Oracle.
And I'm not 100% on Extort, but Syndic of Tithes is another that'll be getting a test spot once the set is released. I mean a 2/2 for 2 that gives all my spells cast after it Taste of Blood for W/B seems like it could be strong, innocuous, and quickly add up damage in any type of grindy game.

I think Syndic of Tithes will make it to most of pauper cubes. A bear that tastes blood efficiently in ww strategies? Sign me up! Too bad the art is boring...

I think is value is in White Weenie (or Boros Aggro) strategies for sure. Being able to dink and dunk for 1 with each of your cheap spells is pretty big. He'll be even better if we get another 1 or 2 things with Extort that are Cubeable. Then of course all of their value's go waaaay up. What are the feeling of the mechanics of Gatecrash? For reference we have: Cipher: When you cast this spell, exile it; If you do, imprint it on a creature and whenver that creature deals COMBAT DAMAGE to a player, you may cast a copy of the imprinted spell. Extort: Whenever you cast a spell, you may pay W/B; if you do, target player -1 life, you +1 life. Bloodrush: Discard this card, target creature gets +?/+? and possibly an ability till EOT. Evolve: Whenever a creature with power OR toughness greater than the creature with Evolve ETB put a +1/+1 counter on the Evolving creature. EDIT: Forgot about Battalion cuz it's pretty bad.... Battalion: Whever this creature and TWO other creatures Attack, do something epic... At least it triggers on the attack and not on damage. If that was the case, well I honestly don't know.

Batallion for sure doesn't seem very applicable in pauper cubes...

Slaughterhorn 2G Creature - Beast Bloodrush - G; Discard ~: Target attacking creature gets +3/+2 until End of Turn. 3/2
In limited a 3/3 for 3 is staple. Adding in a combat trick for early turn aggro (albeit a -1 to his butt), or late turn "Oops I win" makes this dude pretty good. I'm sad it's not costed as a Bear, but this looks like it's going to get a spot in my cube.

Batallion for sure doesn't seem very applicable in pauper cubes... Indeed. That's not the kind of mechanic I like to see in Cube - any Cubes. Even in a constructed environment, it's inconsistent. For a card with Batallion to make it in Cube, it would need to provide a lot more than just Batallion. Slaughterhorn 2G Creature - Beast Bloodrush - G; Discard ~: Target attacking creature gets +3/+2 until End of Turn. 3/2 In limited a 3/3 for 3 is staple. Some people are playing pump Ogres in the 3-drop slot (like Trusted Forcemage or Yeva's Forcemage) and I could see Slaughterhorn making a play for that spot.

It was brought up in the Salvation Pauper Cube thread that Slaughterhorn is a worse Nessian Courser and a worse Giant Growth on top of the "can only pump attacking creatures" clause this is a non-cubeable card.
I'm with you Grumpy. I've seen pump 3 drops appearing in Pauper and Peasant cubes, and like this just as much as those.

So? For the cubers around, how is Gatecrash going to impact your Common Cube? Personally I didn't expect a whole lot to change since the set felt a little "meh", but I'm actually going to add/remove half a dozen cards:
White: - Blade of the Sixth Pride + Daring Skyjek (The Skyjek is strictly better than the kitty. Battalion is rarely relevant, but fun when it is.)
Blue: - Wingcrafter + Cloudfin Raptor (Wingcrafter was okay, but the Raptor is a stronger card. In a constructed environment I prefer Delver of Secrets, but in Cube the Raptor is often much better. You don't need to build around it to make it work.)
Black: - Morbid Plunder + Disfigure (Not Gatecrash related, but my Black section has a sacrifice/recur sub-theme to it. I had too many Disentomb-type effects though and Disfigure is great removal.)
Green: - Trusted Forcemage + Slaughterhorn (The Forcemage was almost always good, but Slaughterhorn is just insanely versatile. I even added it to my Modern Cube.)
W/B: - Blind Hunter + Kingpin's Pet (A bit of a test, but so far the Pet has been better. As a 4-drop, Blind Hunter was always a little disappointing. The life drain and the Haunt often weren't worth the fact that it came out a turn too late. Kingpin's Pet is just a lot more agressive.)
R/W: - Rally the Righteous + Wojek Halberdiers (Rally the Righteous ended a few games, but was about as often a dead card. The Halberdiers is just very solid.)
G/U: - Coiling Oracle + Shambleshark (I'm sad to see the Oracle go, but Shambleshark is sooo good. And much better than the Oracle in the kind of Simic deck that my Pauper Cube can produce.)
