Hey anybody,
I've been playing pauper for fun online for a couple years now when I can't get together with my real life group of cardboard wizards. Mostly I've been running a G/W auras deck to just get in a few games when I can to scratch the magic itch, but when I saw extort I knew I wanted to try something with it. Here it is:
2 Tragic Slip 3 Squadron Hawk 4 Scarscale Ritual 4 Basilica Screecher 3 Edge of the Divinity 3 Gitaxian Probe 4 Syndic of Tithes 2 Echoing Decay 3 Basilica Guards 3 Kingpin's Pet 3 Nip Gwyllion 4 Vault Skirge 11 Swamp 11 Plains
Sideboard 1 Tragic Slip 3 Doom Blade 1 Dawn Charm 4 Holy Day 2 Echoing Decay 4 Leave No Trace
So far in about two weeks playing at least a couple games everyday I've only run into someone else playing a similar list once, and I kifed the idea for Scarscale Ritual from that guy. The deck has actually been surprisingly successful in the fun room. I have a lot of trouble with Mono-black though it's great until turn 7 when the inevitable Corrupt comes out and ruins my plans...I haven't quite figured out a sideboard option for that yet, maybe mutagenic growth as a speedier option? or Lapse of certainty to gain the extra turn to finish it off...not sure anyone have comments or ideas? I also find I have some trouble against the mono-blue snap/cloud of faeries/spellstutter sprite deck too...again not sure how to fight that.

Oh wow! Scarscale Ritual looks awesome! Never noticed that card really before...
To your questions:
1. SB Plan against monoblack: Well they can't beat Circle of Protection: Black. Maybe try it in sideboards as a two of?
2. Mono Blue Faeries: Is one of the top tier decks. I wouldn't worry if you cant beat most of the tier1 decks with your casual fun deck. BW isn't particularly strong against their strategy i guess...

I know scarscale is pretty sick I hadn't considered it even though I play it in a casual zombies deck to reset undying triggers and get cards too boot. 1. Yeah...CoP...I forget that those exist because I hated them so much when I was thirteen...The real problem isn't being killed by the corrupt etc...it's the life gain they get off of it, that's why I was thinking Lapse of Certainty, but I'm not sure that would give me the right chance, and this is a tap out deck so I don't generally have counter mana floating around. Thanks for the thought though! I was considering running some of those black LD spells from ice age in the SB the name escapes me. 2. BUt I want my silly cow deck to be competetive too!

Bonesplitters could greatly help with all your lifelink dudes and fliers. Prismatic Strands help to protect your guys from damage as well as acting as a Fog and another thing to Extort with, and finally, since you're gaining a lot of life, Sign in Blood should be useful. Keep in mind with Sign in Blood you can target opponents. With multiple Extort triggers it becomes a very good burn spell.

Cweaver- Below is the list I'm working on right now. You can see I pulled the Nip/Edge of divinity pieces out in favor of maximizing extort triggers, and squadron hawks. I'm not sure I like it more and I may go back to the Lifelink plan. I did try Bone Splitter for a few matches in place of Edge of Divinity and if I Nip back in I'll be including Bone Splitter too as I started getting pretty sick of losing my enchantments when my creatures got wiped out in response to casting them, so good call there! I think I will toss the prismatic strands in the SB at least though that's a great idea thanks! As for Sign in Blood, that was originally a 4 in the main but I ditched it for Scarscale because it's a little easier to cast, doesn't cost me life ever, and cast on a Basilica Guard is not too much of a drawback really because an 0/3 defender that draws you two cards, has extort and cost 5 isn't that bad even if it takes two turns to setup. I may put them back in in place of Altar's reap, which I've found is actually pretty useful as a sort-of counterspell where removal is concerned, or to turn an ok chump block into some benefit. So I guess I'm not sold on it, but I'll consider it for the reach it gives, I did kill a couple opponents with Sign in Blood when it was in the deck Thanks for the input! 3 Altar's Reap 4 Squadron Hawk 3 Scarscale Ritual 4 Basilica Screecher 3 Gitaxian Probe 4 Syndic of Tithes 4 Echoing Decay 4 Basilica Guards 4 Kingpin's Pet 4 Vault Skirge 11 Swamp 11 Plains Sideboard 2 Tragic Slip 4 Doom Blade 1 Dawn Charm 4 Holy Day 4 Leave No Trace What does anyone think about going back to the Lifelink plan and throwing in Mutagenic Growth/bonesplitters and ... I don't know, maybe the Edge of Divinity even still?

The big problem I see right off the bat is that you have no way of beating Post when they start flickering Glimmerposts with Mnemonic Wall out. Once again I have to recommend Bonesplitter there, you need aggression to win in that situation, or mill effects like Balustrade Spy.

Deluxeicoff 4-0 a daily with BW Extort, he ran heaps of removal, undying Evil and only a few extort creatures (I only saw 3 different types of creatures).
He had some interesting tech with Raven Crime, which turned all his extra lands into Lighting Helix since he had three creatures in play
