I'm working on a list that involves the interaction of +1/+1 counters with persist and phantom creatures. Here is the list so far:
23 Creatures --------------------------- 3 Essence Warden 2 Ivy Lane Denizen 4 Phantom Nomad 2 Phantom Tiger 4 Rendclaw Trow 4 Safehold Elite 2 Wirewood Herald 4 Young Wolf
16 Other spells ---------------------- 3 Bonesplitter 2 Hunger of the Howlpack 4 Journey to Nowhere 2 Sylvok Lifestaff 4 Travel Preparations
20 Land ----------------------- 2 Evolving Wilds 13 Forest 5 Plains
I tried doing a black version with Tragic Slip and Carrion Feeder but I felt that it lacked consistency. You could combo off with Ivy Lane but I wasn't really happy with it if the Feeder was removed from play.
Travel Preparations in this deck is wonderful. Adding +1/+1 counters to persist creatures that have -1/-1 counters gives them extra staying power and you can use it twice. You can also stick them on phantom creatures to let them survive an extra attack.
Bonesplitters keep the damage swinging and the lifestaff lets me gain great life and deal a little extra damage.
Ivy Lane Denizen keeps the persist creatures coming back and adds +1/+1 counters to Phantom creatures when new creatures come in to play.
I'm not sold on the Wirewood Herald or the Essence Warden. I'm worried that this may have problems with Delver and white flyers.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Phantom Tiger! I love that guy! I actually have a 3-1 result in a Daily Event where I played a single Phantom Tiger in Stompy :-)
Have you done any testing with the deck? What are your results so far?

Interesting concept.
Would love to see this in action.
