Ok so some more work was done (and I found lists that were going along the same lines). Starting from Pauper lists, I see about 25-26 creatures. Around 15-19 of these are 1cc, even though Skarrgan Pit Skulk isn't intended for turn 1. Then we have 5-6 2cc creatures, 16-17 forests, and 17-19 pump. With the port, I wanted at least 15 1cc creatures and 19-20 Forests. Anything less is disappointing me in practice. Occasionally I do flood, though, so it is frustrating. 15 1cc crits 4 Dryad Militant 4 Experiment One 3 Ulvenwald Tracker 4 Young Wolf Pauper has 9-12 creatures that seem to be intended for turn 2. I'll add 8 creatures in these slots 4 Strangleroot Geist 4 Kalonian Tusker and these guys are flexible Experiment One evolvers or combat tricks. 4 Slaughterhorn 27 creatures with 4 of them being pump spells seems a little low, but for now it's the best I can think of. The pump that transfers directly are the 2-4 Hunger of the Howlpack and 4 Rancor. Next we need to port Vines of Vastwood, Groundswell, and Gather Courage. 4 Giant Growth (Groundswell) 3 Hunger of the Howlpack 3 Ranger's Guile (Vines of Vastwood) 4 Rancor This may should be 2 Hunger, 4 Ranger's Guile since the latter is so annoying against players using Putrefy etc. and Hunger has a lot of variance. With Undying guys, it's awful. With Experiment One, it's awesome. We finish off with 19 Forest. I wish so much that I could get away with 17, but it's not working out. In general, I think there's a lot of goofing off in Standard right now. People are taking advantage of their access to tons of mana and trying to do ridiculous midgame and endgame things. Thragtusk slows this deck down, especially in combination with the blink angel, but often you can power over him with Rancor + pump. I've definitely won the majority of my TP room matches, playing against some mill decks, some blink Thragtusk lists, Rakdos, etc. I don't really know the decks in Standard at the moment. They all seem to blend together as elaborate mana-bases + Putrefies + Thragtusk, with some of them having ramp and Kalonian Hydra and Planeswalkers. I don't know of any sideboard cards for sure. I gotta have 4 Ground Seal to combat Scavenging Ooze, and I have played against enough angels to throw in 4 Plummet. After that, I rounded it out with Naturalize and Prey Upons. but if anyone has advice for mono-G... I want to throw this in a daily in the next three weeks. I genuinely believe it'll fund my Pauper brewing habits.

Standard DEs and events are one of the best places to break even or make a few tickets. Generally, the decks are less competitive than pauper. You can often grab an oppressive deck (such as caw-blade or mythic) and ride it to a 1900 rating. It's one of the few places I've felt that I could brew and still win some tickets and have a 50-50 records with a "budget" deck.
If you're looking to go budget, you certainly have to go under the curve...not over. Personally, I think RDWs is better positioned (manabarbs, preventing blocks lets you do damage *this* turn), and you can also build that list for ~50 tickets...although hellriders are about to rotate out, and are a bit pricey. The big draw of your deck compared to RG saito (or whatever you want to call it) seems to be primarily price.
Tracker + predatory ooze has been great in the past, but I think the mana and time investments are too much for this deck. Scavenging ooze and mutivaults would be great additions, but would go against the budget theme. Similarly, the old garruk would be a nice SB addition if you have any lying around. Wolfir Silverheart worries me a bit about cramming 4 of a 5 drop into an aggro deck that forgoes 3 and 4 drops. But I suppose it does provide an instant impact on board state, and helps wins in the aggro matches. My instinct is to run 3 MB and put the 4th in the board, but if you've been having good luck with the card you can ignore the recommendation.
Best of luck with the deck. I think your goal is a reasonable one.
