Hey guys, I'm trying to remember which podcast it was in recent times when you had a special guest talking about a deck and cited using Lignify. Without going through and listening to all of them again, can any of you remember who it was and/or which episode it was in?
Thanks if you can help.

I believe the episode we bought it up on was episode 115. There was an e-mail response that we addressed on 116. The contents of that e-mail are:
Love your show, keep up the great work. Listen to it every week.
I think Lignify is in the sideboard as new tech against delverfiend. It stops their Cyclops and fiends from triggering and being able to do any substantial damage. Now whether this or moment's peace is strictly better is where I am uncertain. Off just a glance, Moment's peace seems strictly better, but i haven't done the playtesting to find out.
You do need something to stop the deck from developing early on in green, as green just doesn't have the removal other colors do to stop a cyclops. Maybe the Delver fiend deck sides in counters for removal after game 1 sometimes, and the player wanted a way that they couldn't stop with dispel or mizzium skin. I still think moment's peace would be better for that matchup.
That is the only use I can really find for Lignify, though it does make me wonder what other things it would be used for, maybe an early atog with no disciple or no fling mana up.

Is there a list of all the guests somewhere or is it just the show notes?

It wouldn't be too hard to compile...

That would be a useful list, for certain. I am slowly compiling it but it will take ages (while I am uploading every episode to YouTube starting with episode 1 yesterday). I think there are now about 15 episodes available on YouTube
