I don't think most will agree that any post needs to be banned. They can be out-matched by fast aggro and do not have the clock that Poison & Grapeshot had. While that's true, I don't think most argued that Invigorate needed to be banned as of Monday. I think that much like any other format, now that Wizards has seen how banning can change a metagame, is subject to bannings that they see as "healthy" for the format.

We talked about it for sure on Monday when we recorded. Of course, it's not up yet...... Dagnabbit! Again!? I'm so fed up with MtGCast. I don't think most will agree that any post needs to be banned. They can be out-matched by fast aggro and do not have the clock that Poison & Grapeshot had. The problem - and I'm sure that plenty will disagree and I'm fine with that - is that Post is the best deck in Pauper. Has been for months. Infect and Storm "forced" a certain diversification of the metagame in Classic. And the Post deck and its Sideboard had to be built accordingly. Now with those two decks gone, the Post deck can be re-designed according to a much narrower field. Right now, the aggro match-up can be problematic for Post. But between Glimmerpost and whatever other tools the Post deck can now afford to run MD or SB, it's going to adapt pretty quickly. Post is the Jund of Pauper. And with Infect and Storm gone, if WotC trully wants to diversify and rethink Pauper as a slower and broader format, they will need to get rid of it. Edit: That being said, I'm really happy to see a topic hit four pages on these forums. Discussions like this are awesome and great for the Community.
