What are you guys listening? If someone listens some finnish bands that would be nice to hear about. My favourite bands from Finland are: Apocalyptica & Statovarius. Also Nightwish is pretty good.

Cant say I know any bands outside of the USA. I love System of a Down and Metallica and classic rock is great. Outside of that, I love a hip-hop sub genre referred to as "Nerdcore" here in the states. My good friend Beefy is a Nerdcore rapper.

Spending the majority of my time listening to my own band's stuff right now, since we're mixing and mastering it.
I'm a very eclectic music listener, as Tuna can attest to. But in a pinch, give me some Radiohead or Chevelle.
Podcasts get me through work too. I listen to a number of mtgcast ones, as well as Marc Maron's WTF Podcast and Giant Bomb's Bombcast.

I listen to a little of everything from The Rat Pack to Metal but I do have to say I am a die hard Mettalica Fan I have every album including the limited edition stuff! Lately it's been Classic rock from the 60's and early 70's I've been listening too.

Here the metal guy steps in....
I primarily listen to hard metal...naming bands isn't easy so below are the only ones that come to mind: Black Dahlia Murder, Burnt by the Sun, Decapitated, The Acacia Strain, Converge, Dying Fetus
Stoner Rock/Metal is pretty sweet as well: Kyuss (one of the best), High on Fire, Sleep, Saint Vitus (started it all)
I do dabble into hip-hop, mainly the "white guy/skater" hip-hop: Del, Tyler the Creator
Anything Proggy gets me going though, especially the old prog rock like Rush, Yes, and Styx.
I could go on forever.

Chris, I think we can get along. Yes, Mastodon can be considered metal at least their older stuff, getting a little light lately. I've been listening to dilinger escape plan since before calculating infinity.

I've been listening to dilinger escape plan since before calculating infinity. The lead singer of my band got me into Dillinger, first with Ire Works. But Mike Patton on "When Good Dogs Do Bad Things"? Forget it. Perfection.

Some music?
Nerdcore? MC Frontalot is great.
Finnish music? I like Poets of the Fall, although Apocalyptica and Nightwish are good too.
Rise Against is another band I've been listening to a lot lately.
Finally there's Miracle of Sound. If you're into videogames at all, go check this guy out. He does amazing music that really catches the feel of the different games.

I used to listen to a ton of european Metal back in the day, as well as a fair amount of Industrial, Techno, Techno-Industrial and Asian Techno. Some Trance too. I can't remember most of the artists/bands: Wumpscut, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Juno Reactor, Boom Boom Satellites... Obviously a very short, very incomplete list. I don't even know if any of those artists are still active. I should probably look into it.
These days I don't listen to a lot. I'm still very much a fan of Apocalyptica and Nightwish, even though I haven't been giving a fair chance to the later post-Tarja - which is still probably one of my favorite female voice to this day. I'll probably be giving a look into Amorphis though, which Yugular mentioned previously. It sounds pretty good... and Amaranth, which I've heard by chance a few days ago. The pop/metal mix is interesting.

The pop/metal mix is interesting. Amorphis is really good, especially the last three albums. They take a lot from Kalevala (Finnish beowulf kind of) to their music and therefore it is quite different than many similar bands. Tarja Turunen is exceptionally good singer and Nightwish did well when they chose her follower, they didn't try to find Tarja mark II but took a spin and headed into another direction. No one could have replaced Tarja. Tarja Turunen has also made at least one single album (My Winter Storm) but the music on that album is pretty boring, too bad
